I'm Kersten!
Some people find themselves in cities. I find myself between chapters — in my reading corner, in scattered puzzle pieces, in words that make me whole again. This is Tied to Words — where stories, self-love, and healing meet. For the ones who heal through pages, who chase meaning between lines. Sit with me — let’s lose ourselves in words and find something beautiful waiting.
Welcome to my literary haven, where words come alive and stories take flight. I’m so grateful you’re here, stepping into this cozy little corner of the internet with me as I find new worlds to visit, characters to love, stories to unravel, and words of my own to bring to life.
Why I Started This Blog:
My love for storytelling began the moment I opened Little House on the Prairie by Laura Ingalls Wilder. Her ability to create vivid scenes, witty characters, and emotions that linger long after the last page made me feel like I was living inside the story. That magic — the way words can transport, comfort, or awaken something inside us — is what inspired me to build this space.
What You'll Find Here:
Within these virtual pages, you’ll uncover a blend of fictional pieces, honest book reviews, personal reflections, and glimpses into my writing journey. Whether you're a reader looking for your next adventure, a writer exploring your craft, or someone trying to find a little meaning between the lines — you’ll find something here to connect with.
When I'm Not Lost In A Book:
When I’m not buried in a story, you can probably catch me battling monsters in the gaming world, hunting for new Kindle deals, or brainstorming ideas for my TikToks and Instagram posts. I draw inspiration from everywhere — Anime, Marvel, DC Comics, Disney — and let all kinds of stories fuel my creativity and growth.
Let's Share Our Stories:
I believe purpose is often found in the connections we make and the stories we share. I invite you to comment, connect, and tell me about the books you love or the projects you’re dreaming up. Your voice enriches this growing community of bookworms, book dragons, and storytellers.
Thank you so much for visiting Tied to Words and being a part of my journey — both as a reader and as someone who finds connection, growth, and meaning through words.
Happy Reading and Writing!
